Service Technician
Job Responsibilities:
Thoroughly
performs appropriate and necessary diagnostics to identify vehicle
problem utilizing all available factory technical information and
specified tools/equipment.
Performs vehicle repair as outlined
on repair order within specified time frame according to proper factory
repair procedures and dealer policies.
Reviews service write-up to verify required work.
Determines
if vehicle requires any other work and immediately advises details to
Service Advisor including if repairs can be completed within time
promised.
Secures needed parts from the Parts Department.
Strives to exceed customer expectations for repair.
Ensures service repair notes/records are clear and well documented.
Road Tests vehicles to ensure repairs are properly completed.
Ensures the cleanliness of customer vehicles.
Ensures warranty claims are properly documented and submitted in a timely manner.
Assists Service Advisors as needed in communicating with customers about vehicle repairs.
Assist other technicians as needed.
Participate in mentoring/apprentice program.
Attend
factory-training classes to stay current with new vehicle systems,
attend technical training classes, keep, up to date on industry
developments/information, and seek professional certifications.
Comply with federal (i.e., OSHA), state, and local regulations governing safety and hazardous waste disposal.
Maintain a clean and neat work area.
Use shop tools with care, and take time to keep them organized, clean and properly maintained
Experience/Requirements: 5 years experience in auto repair; manufacturer service experience preferred.
Qualifications/Education:
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. ASE Certification preferred.
Knowledge of Volvo/Subaru service preferred. Valid Driver's License and
good driving record.

Job Responsibilities
This position works closely with the Sales and Finance Departments
to ensure all necessary paperwork and fees are complete.Applicants should be familiar with vehicle
titling in the State of Texas, including specialized plates.
